Greedy Grazer is a casual cafe along Lanark Road in Ashgill that serves up freshly prepared, hearty fare with a down-to-earth charm. It’s the sort of spot where locals and plant shoppers alike tend to pause for a satisfying bite, especially when looking to escape the typical garden centre café offerings nearby.

The menu leans on comfort and familiarity, with highlights like lasagne and a well-regarded chicken sandwich, plus a range of breakfast rolls featuring local favourites such as bacon and black pudding. Drink options are broad enough to please a crowd, including hot chocolate with cream or syrup shots, and non-dairy milk alternatives. For sweet treats, the brownies and empire biscuits offer a classic touch without fuss.

Seating options include outdoor tables under a tented area, which suits those who enjoy watching the nearby Clyde side scenery while eating. This casual, simple seating makes it a practical stop for early morning breakfast runs or a midday refuel during errands or leisure strolls.

Atmosphere-wise, Greedy Grazer carries a familiar, friendly vibe rather than anything pretentious or overly styled. The staff’s warmth and straightforward approach add to the welcoming feel, making it easy for repeat visits. Portions are generous and the menu prices sit comfortably in the reasonable range for the area, encouraging locals to choose this over more standard options.

Though some customers have noted the occasional rough edge—like the state of burger buns or the need for tidier surroundings—the food quality remains consistent enough to warrant a stop. It tends to attract those who want a quick, reliable meal without fuss, with enough seating for anyone wanting to linger briefly in the fresh air.

Overall, Greedy Grazer suits anyone in the Larkhall area who appreciates freshly cooked comfort food, unhurried service, and a steady-as-she-goes spot to catch a quiet coffee or bite, no matter the day’s plans.

Great quality food is cooked fresh for you. Lovely friendly staff, great menu and reasonable prices couldn't fault it. We now stop here instead of eating in the garden centre cafes on our plant shopping trips. Not skimpy with the portions either.

A decent wee place for a quick bite, along the picturesque Clyde Side, a burger van with attitude and atmosphere if you like. Prices are reasonable and I cant fault the quality of the food. There is seating available for those at one with nature. They also accept card payments.

The actual burger was really tasty, if only they used a fresh burger bun or roll. The bun fell apart as soon as you touched it. The bun didn’t taste fresh at all and for £8.50 I expected better. There is such potential if only they tidied the place up a bit, loads of trash and rubbish all over the place.apart from the bin the food and coffee was very good.

I've been meaning to go here for a long time and managed to swing by today. Delighted to say the food was tremendous! Ordered two rolls with square sausage and tattie scon. The owner/operator said her square sausage is the best. Took the comment with a pinch of salt. I can confidently say it was arguably the best square sausage I've ever tried, it was also about an inch thick, seriously! I fully intend to visit here every single time I'm in the area. On another note the owner/operator was very pleasant, had a good chat with her and managed to persuade her to tell me some of the suppliers she uses, result! Remember to book the restaurant we discussed, 5th time lucky

This darling café is a MUST STOP! Had one of the best sandwiches (grilled steak & onion on ciabatta) ever. Outdoor seating and under the tented café or take away.

Had egg rolls at 2pm, so not just breakfast time which I liked. 2 eggs in the roll, cooked to perfection. Also had a lovely hot latte which was made with proper coffee. Plenty of parking space and wee places to sit. We will definitely be back.
